Weekend in Shelter Island. The sun,the beach,it’s easy.
You don’t need much more than a pair of shorts,t-shirt and a bathing suit. Except…. If you hang out at Sunset Beach. It is the perfect people watching place. And a mine for fashion disasters, too much jewelry, over the top hand bags, high heels, too much make up, hair too done, mostly, the biggest disease is over dressed. But it’s entertaining after all.

One day with Erin and this little puppy is already bag trained, plane trained and the star of the day.
If you want to travel with your dog the way models do, start early. They learn to love their bag very fast.

Watch Your Back

One of the big questions that come up in interviews is, what tip can you give us when we get dressed? The first thing that always comes to my mind is, turn around (or I guess 45 degrees) and make sure everything looks ok from the back. So many things can go wrong, weird bra straps, too much bra showing, wrong underwear that gives your an unflattering butt, skirt too short, tainted dress, jeans too small,…. And you can’t even see the amused or horrified face of the witness who is behind you. So last thing before leaving the house, a splash of perfume and a last look in the mirror front and back.

Bleached by the sun,
They are like little paintings. Each year new artists make beautiful designs. I love them at the beach and also in the house. Pareos can cover a chair; Scarfs can be sewn together to make cushions or framed like a photo.
When I get to a new hotel room, I nest. Part of nesting for me is to un-pack and throw Hermes scarfs on top of the lamps. It gives a pretty soft light as long as the bulb isn’t too strong. I haven’t set any rooms on fire yet!

I don’t Love Working on Sundays.
But the last one was totally painless. We drove to the Yonkers and didn’t hit any traffic, arrived in a very beautiful garden where they had just cut some cedar tree so the smell was everywhere. We had lunch, shot few male dancers in tights. And that was it. Back home after a nice breath of fresh air. I should have worn my favorite item of the summer, the mini denim skirt. The girls did…. Next time….

My Dog Moops and My New Blog

When Moops was a little girl, she came with me everywhere. Eventually she became very difficult about accessories and now refuses to be photographed with bags she doesn’t like. However, she would never refuse a Hermès bag. She’s been on lots of photo shoots and she thought I should start a blog. So here I am. Welcome to my first post.
